Concluding 2005

Its been a crazy roller coaster of a year. I thought Id sum it up quickly before its over...

Summer

Mum, Dad, Jayne, Rhianan and Tim having afternoon tea in Harrods the Lotte branch in Seoul!

Tim and Rhianan at a boardgame cafe, its cool honest! Why won't anyone go with me?

Chillin

Hectic shopping in Myeong-dong

I stopped the family in the street to ask if I could just have a quick go. As soon as I suggested it Dad had that really annoyed look in his eyes as if to say, 'no lets just go'. BUT after 5 minutes we couldnt get him off it!

Lunch with some of our Korean family

The view out of our apt window. That little lakey stream thing is where Dad and I go running/cycling/walking- at least in theory.

Autumn

Autumn is usually one of my favourite seasons. This autumn was a bit crap tho cuz I got given the boot by my ex. But luckily I had good friends and family to help me get sorted out.

Sam-gyup-sal. I think this is one of my most favourite meals. Kimichi and pork go so well together, oh yeh and beer! I just love barbecuing stuff outside or on the street. Its ghetto in a way but at the same time charming.

My two bestest buddies in Korea- Chris and Seb.

If Im not eating or sleeping or drinking then im playing winning eleven in one of these places. When I am not studying that is.

Autumn/Winter

In between terms I came back to sunny Wales! Basically been doing applications and a bit of DIY- u know, proving my manhood and all.

I never want to sand anything again, ever.

My partner in crime!

Me looking very attractive. In keeping with any self-respecting builder's traditions I think I must have had about 10 cups of tea that day.

Winter in New York

Somewhat unexpectedly I went to go visit my good friend Eugene in NY! On the first day we went to this cafe which featured in 'You've got mail'. It was velly nice.

Central Park

The Brooklyn Bridge

During the week while Eugene was out building financial models I took some time to get on with law applications. I didn't get very far as Eugene's awesomely cool cat Ruby insists on lying on anything that you want to use!

Times Square

Grand Central Station

42nd Street (I think)

Mid week Eugene's friend Dan hosted an amazing dinner party/cook-off/iron-chef in his luxury apt! Gina, Terri and Paul faced off in what was a beautiful collision.

Honestly speaking one of the best meals Ive ever had.

I then had the chance to meet up with our good friend from LSE and Holborn Halls- Chris! We had a really nice meal in a funky Japanese restaurant with him and his charming GF Eunice.

The restaurant lets u make ur own cotton candy as u leave. I was a natural.

I can still remember when Tim and I used to play NBA Live 95 (in 1995) when I used to always go the Knicks. So it was a great experience to actually go to Madison Square Garden to check it out for myself. Too bad everyone other than Marbury sucks.

Empire State Building

I like this pic cuz it looks like the viewfinder thing and Euge have had some kind of disagreement and are looking away from each other. Anyone else see that?

On the last day we did a cruise on the Hudson river around Manhattan.

There she blows!

To cap off the trip we met some of Eugene's friends at Hooters! If you are not familiar with the establishment it is an awful place where the waitresses wear very littling clothing and serve beer accompanied with fried poultry and curly fries among other things. We then went from Hooters to.....

The Metroplitan Opera House! (As you do). It was nice to be cultural and experience the opera. However, I shall not be seeing another one unless invited by an exceedingly attractive female. I now know why the opera was called 'An American Tragedy'! Oh yeha, the pic is Eugene and his multi-talented boyfriend Paul.

That about sums it up for now.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
